Welcome to Season V of the Maritime Women’s Basketball Association (MWBA)—and the highly anticipated inaugural season for the Truro Tidal Queens! As the league celebrates its fifth anniversary in 2026, the Tidal Queens are proud to make their historic debut as the MWBA’s newest expansion franchise.

This milestone season marks a new chapter for competitive women’s basketball in Colchester County. Built on a foundation of elite skill, community mentorship, and relentless grit, our 2026 roster blends former professional athletes, U SPORTS/CCAA veterans, and top-tier local talent. Join us as we tip off our very first year in the Nova Scotia division, battle for the Legacy Cup, and start a new basketball tradition in Truro.

Welcome to the official team page of the Truro Tidal Queens, the newest expansion franchise in the Maritime Women’s Basketball Association (MWBA)! Making our historic debut in the 2026 season, we are proud to bring elite competitive women’s basketball to Colchester County.

Operated by 902 Hoops Corporation Ltd. and spearheaded by Robbie McGee and Cindy MacNeil, the Tidal Queens were built from day one to be a community-first organization. Guided by Head Coach Lonnie States, our roster features a powerhouse mix of U SPORTS and CCAA veterans, returning professional players, and top-tier local talent ready to compete for the Legacy Cup.

We are more than just a basketball team. Whether we are battling our Nova Scotia division rivals on the court or hosting our Nike youth camps off the court, our mission is to deliver high-level basketball, foster local engagement, and empower the next generation of female athletes in Truro and beyond.
